Multi-Purpose Room and Stage

The multipurpose room is open to the promenade with the thought of Denali's after-school activites and how people mingle into this area during the carnival and other activities. We also wanted to be able to connect this space with the other large space (the gym) in a multi-use way during other night activities. The gym has another set of doors so people can circulate through the multipurpose room. We added doors on the diagonal corners to contain the sound from the administration wing.
	This is the deepest area of the school but glass windows will provide borrowed natural light from the hallways. This space will end up being very nice. You can see the framing here is the lowest point of the ceiling in this room…In between There will be wood slat finish around the bases of all four sides of the walls and a high vaulted ceiling, It will be a very rich room texturally and 3D service-wise.
The music classroom will double as a stage for school plays and other presentations. There will be a series of polar bear tracks painted on the wall that go up around the stage. To get to the music classroom the students will go up a ramp on the west side of the room.
